Light
Sunlight pours
through translucent waves,
blue green glow
just before
the break.
Shadows of splashing
dance on the beach,
and I leap
to avoid getting wet.
Ripples in the sand
as the water recedes,
washed away
by the next wave.
Everything visible and then–
gone.
Shadow and then–
light.
